A strong democracy begins with an informed and active citizen. When voter participation is low, reaching people directly and making them understand the value of their vote becomes essential.

At a time when voter participation in Aligarh was significantly low, Azad Foundation Society took the message of democratic participation directly to the public. Under the guidance of the Aligarh Commissioner, a series of Nukkad Nataks was organised at 26 major intersections across the district to encourage citizens to understand the importance of voting and participate responsibly in the electoral process.

Through engaging street theatre, the campaign brought the message of voting directly into communities—making it simple, relatable and memorable.
