A 40-day vocational training programme was conducted for women inmates at Aligarh District Jail to promote self-confidence, self-reliance and economic independence. Participants were trained in approximately 150 types of products, with special focus on block printing, appliqué work, gota patti, zari work, needlework and painting.

The training was inaugurated by Ms. Vishakha Iyer, IAS, District Magistrate, Aligarh.

Following the training, linkages were developed with digital platforms, home-seller markets, companies and banks, enabling trained inmates to explore product sales, financial support and livelihood opportunities after release.
