Azad Foundation Society Aligarh
14 YEARS | 7 DISTRICTS | 8 CENTRES CONTINUING IMPACT
14 Years of Turning Hidden Potential into Skills, Dignity & Self-Reliance
For the past 14 years, Azad Foundation Society has been deeply committed to empowering underprivileged women and adolescent girls—especially those who have had limited access to education, employment and opportunities.
We believe:
“Every woman carries a skill within her. She only needs someone to recognise it, nurture it and create an opportunity for it to grow.”
For years, we have worked within communities where women’s social and economic circumstances often restrict their choices. Our effort has been to identify hidden talent, develop practical skills, build confidence and create pathways towards livelihood and self-reliance.
A SMALL BEGINNING. A BIG JOURNEY.
What started with one vocational training centre gradually grew into a wider movement.
Today, after 14 years of continuous work, our vocational training network has reached 7 districts through 8 centres.
Women and girls have been trained in livelihood-oriented skills including:
👗 Dress Designing & Tailoring
🧵 Stitching & Embroidery
💄 Beautician & Hair Care
🎨 Handicrafts & Creative Skills
But our journey did not stop where we thought it would.
Training created skills.
Skills created products.
Products led to production.
And production has now opened the door to markets.**
SKILL → PRODUCTION → MARKET → LIVELIHOOD → ENTREPRENEURSHIP
OUR GREATEST SUCCESS IS NOT A CERTIFICATE
Our real success is the woman who completed her training and then created a path of her own.
Today, some of our trained women are:
Running their own training centres, building their own businesses, running boutiques, working as trainers and teachers and earning through the skills they once came to learn.
Every woman has written a part of her own story.
Every skill has created a new identity.
And every small achievement has strengthened her confidence, dignity and self-respect.
“We did not simply teach women a skill.
We helped them believe in their ability to build their own future.”
What began as a small vocational initiative has evolved into a broader Women’s Skill, Livelihood & Entrepreneurship Empowerment Model.
Our work goes beyond classroom training.
We strive to connect women with:
🏦 Bank & Financial Linkages
Helping women explore appropriate loan and financial opportunities.
🛍️ Exhibitions & Market Platforms
Creating opportunities to display, promote and sell their products.
🏭 Production Opportunities
Taking skills beyond training towards organised product development and production.
📢 Government Scheme Awareness
Helping women understand schemes and opportunities available to them.
🤝 Entrepreneurship & Livelihood Support
Encouraging trained women to become producers, earners and entrepreneurs.
OUR DREAM
We want no woman’s talent to remain hidden simply because she was born without access, resources or opportunity.
We want every woman and adolescent girl to have the opportunity to:
LEARN. CREATE. EARN. LEAD.
“When a woman’s hidden talent receives an opportunity, it does not transform only her life—it can transform the future of her entire family and community.”
